The NDH will require substantial investment in IT infrastructure, integration systems, and training. Based on international models, the estimated cost ranges between $80M–$120M USD over five years, depending on scope and pace of rollout.
We believe that real change is born through institutions, not just interventions. That’s why Nigehban works on new authorities, frameworks, and digital infrastructures for health financing, child identity, education tracking, and social protection, supported by faith, evidence-based research, and policy.
Total Budget: 120,000,000 USD
The National Database of Health (NDH) is envisioned as a centralized, secure digital platform that consolidates the health records of every citizen in Pakistan. It will integrate data from public and private hospitals, clinics, laboratories, pharmacies, insurance providers, immunization programs, and donor-funded projects, creating a one-window health information system for decision-making, service delivery, and accountability.
The National Child Registration Authority (NCRA) will serve as the baseline dataset, ensuring that every child is registered at birth and automatically enters the NDH system. From there, a lifelong health record will be maintained.
Nigehban Social and Economic Development Foundation serves as the advisor and presenter of this concept, engaging government and development partners to ensure its strategic design and execution.
